Did Collin Jones fight at light welter?
At Welter I think he would have won because I do not think Hatton can use his strength as he does at the lower weight. So Collin Jones stops him in a brutal and exciting fight.

He lost to Donald Curry but no shame there.
He drew and lost to Milton McCrory for the world title.
He beat Kirland Laing twice by 9th round KO, he had a big left hook that flattened him. Laing went on to beat Duran a couple of years later so he was very good just unlucky not to win the title against McCrory.

I'll try and catch some of his fights someday, for guys around at the time, was there alot of expectation for him going into the US fights?
I remember reading his record a long time ago, but didn't acually notice his KO record at the time.

One point, if like Jones, Hatton had to Box the same day as the weigth in He would have been a Welter. Now you have a level playing field
