I think it was more of an accumulation then anything...Hatton was getting tagged often towards the end....What Ricky needs to learn is that he does not need to come forward every single second

Hatton has said on endless occasions that the build up went perfect, the in ring walk was fine and he was as pumped up as ever to fight, but....

within 5seconds of the fight getting going cortez stepped in between the 2 fighters for no apparent reason and hattons immediate reaction in his words not mine were..

    "fuck this is not good"

For the remainder of the fight cortez remained all over hatton and his fight plan despite the fact he allowed hatton to get away with the very same tactics during the castillo fight and as shown during hopkins-calzaghe seemed to have no problems with the 2 grappling up close.

At one point joe told the 2 to "stop talking or i`ll take points off of the both of you" ??

have you ever heard something so absurd.

Mayweather slouched at every opportunity yet hatton got persistently penalised for carrying on fighting despite the fact it was floyds fault for not protecting himself.

He went over to the hatton corner at the end of round 8 and told them he was considering stopping the fight despite the fact hatton at the time was well in the fight albeit losing it, but still well in it.

The ring was widened to suit mayweather, the judges appointed by mayweathers promotional team, as soon as cortez also decided to aide floyd the fight was as good as over.

The fact Cortez was lousy in that fight has not been denied by anyone...Be it the sternest PBF or Hatton fans....Still though...Point is Hatton was not KO'd by one shot as some would like to make out...He was getting caught a lot...

I am not going to say Hatton would have beaten Mayweather but it would have been a bit more in his favor with a guy like Smoger who allows guys to get in and fight
