I hope that Martin Castillo could Enjoy everything that he got in his Career in Boxing with all of his Family....................
Good information Diane , CC.........![]()
He looked so good the first time out versus Munoz, thought he was on his way to being a star but never looked quite that good again.

For those who don't know this guy he was great for a while in his prime only a few years ago. He completely DOMINATED Munoz the first time out. During that peak I would posit that he was one of the most complete fighters p4p. I remember reading articles about how other boxers would marvel at his training regiman.
I'm glad he knows when to walk away.

Castillo in his prime was all heart, the only guys to beat him were Machado and Montiel!
Having watched the Montiel fight, it did seem that his heart no longer allowed him to apply himself to fighting and although he appeared in fantastic physical condition, it was evident from the first bell that mentally, he was not prepared to fight.
Although from a boxing fans perspective I'm disappointed at his retirement, from another, more logical view, I respect him for alking away and hope he does not ned the sport again.
