    Default Timothy Bradley looks Ripped!

Saw a picture of Bradley in Boxing Weekly and he looks ripped, 3% body fat. I know it does not mean he will win but at the moment who looks more ripped than him in boxing today?

Yeah I noticed how ripped he looks but its all about ability both boxing wise and the ability to take shots.

Don't know if you know British fighters very well but the most recent example i can think of with regards to 'looks' is Colin Lynes vs Young Mutley. Lynes is a good boxer but Young Mutley was the example of prime physical condition , he looked ripped and ready to go, but Lynes was too much and won by KO. Similar to Calzaghe vs Lacy. Lacy looked in great shape but this can be misleading.

Yeah this isn't a bodybuilding contest.
There are guys who are at the top of their game who, looking at them, you'd pick to lose if you went by 'physical appearance'. Guys like Calzaghe, Enzo, Juan Diaz, even Cotto doesn't come in ripped. Part of that is to do with genetics.
When you're in that ring, looking pretty isn't gonna help. The only advantage I can think of if you're totally ripped is that you'll probably have the muscular size advantage over your opponent.

Focusing on Bradley though, I don't think I have ever seen someone so ripped and in tip top condition as he is in. He does look alot like a body builder. Theoretically he should be able to deal with body shots with his apparent abs of steel, but head shots are a different matter.

I don't think there are boxers that are so cut and ripped, as these types would be more into bodybuilding, and don't want their pretty little physiques ruined

One positive thing it shows is that at least he has been working hard... It would take a lot of work to get down to 3% body fat for sure. So you could kind of say that he means business for his next fight..

But as everyone else said, he could get knocked out off the first punch if he doesn't see it coming....

Someone needs to find some pics i think

Bradley is ripped and he is a good fighter really. I think Witter will beat him, but Bradley is pretty good. Aside from that gift decision he had a couple years back against Jaime Rengel. Yes, JAIME RENGEL. Rengel is a warrior, but I mean he's not World Class.
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"

Bradley sure is ripped and sure does pose a problem for Witter. I can see Hatton fans dismissing Witter even more if Bradley wins, kind of like I am sure Mayweather will do if Cotto loses to Margarito.

    Lol.

Hes not 3% bodyfat mate. The body cant get physically below 4% without dying.

The most shredded bodybuilders in the world who are 250 lbs and have paper thin skin and veins/striations everywhere who have been dieting for 20 weeks to get like that arent even 3% mate, they will be at 4% bodyfat.

Hes got a good little physique for a boxer, the lad is only 10 stone so hes hardly a big guy but you can see that the quality muscle on his frame gave him more strength over witter, hes a tough lil cookie, good fighter!

If boxers started to do a bit of bodybuilding and got themselves leaner and more muscular (this way theyd remain in their weight category with an increase in lean mass and reduction in bodyfat and fluid retention) then they would benifit from more power and superior stamina...sadly though bodybuilding hasnt made its way into boxing just yet, it will do one day though i think.

Bradley is around 8-10% bodyfat mate, no where near close to 3%.

In my avatar pic i am at 7-8% and you can see im leaner than bradley AND weigh in at 230 lbs as opposed to 139 lbs, so if you do the maths and work out percentages, my increased lean tissue of 91 lbs makes a massive difference in the bodyfat %...so in a way i wouldnt be suprised if bradley is around 10% instead.

Still, this isnt bodybuilding Hes a good fighter, i was impressed a lot, great power at that level, great strength, good movement, good defense and a good all round fighter, but i think he will be too limited when fighting a better opponent. Great conditioned physique for a boxer aswell

I read it in Boxing Weekly just thought it would be true but you know more so I take your word for it. Muscles in boxing did not work for Bruno, it slowed him down and he tired quicker during fights. Holyfield however did not have those problems.
