Well in all seriousness it seems as though Benitez will be staying, I guess that's ok.
Liverpool need a midfielder who can control tempo, has a good touch, and can pass the ball. Babel is still young and learning, I see him as more of a striker in the future anyway due to his speed and the fact he's better at scoring than passing or dribbling.
Crouch and or Kuyt have to go...I like Voronin, call me crazy but he's speedy he's got a good touch and he feeds the ball to the goal scorers better than anyone except Gerrard. I like Crouch he can put the ball away better than most but Rafa refuses to use him properly.
I'm not sold on Benayoun or Pennant being the solution to Liverpool's needs either.
Top four at some point in time becomes too little for Rafa especially with the money Hicks and Gillet are spending
Benitez said he would want 15 million for Crouch to leave. No expert but that seems a little high?
Good for Fulham staying up.
I was happy Fulham stayed up, I think Clint Dempsey can be good but #1 Not as a striker and #2 When he's not trying to be fancy.
Dempsey would be good at Liverpool as a compliment to Gerrard, Alonso, and Mascherano. And he could fit in Rafa's rotation system as well.
The problem with Dempsey is he's a little slow. He's definitely one of the more skilled American players and he doesn't have confidence problems like some of our guys.
Kuyt has to stay no player works harder and he has been playing right wing and still scored vital goals.
Alonso can go for Garth Barry
Bentley for Pennant/Benny
Kewall can FO!
Ouma, Dempsey can afford to be slow with the style Liverpool plays. As for him playing Striker it's just not his place, he doesn't score as well as he passes. Even the US doesn't use him as a striker and they shouldn't start either. Clint is definently a solid performer, he's consistant, more so than Beasley and Donovan. McBride remains the top American to ever play over seas but I think in time Adu, Altidore, and Bradley will surpass him.
Kuyt is soooo inconsistant though. There are times when he has great chances and doesn't put them away. Kuyt doesn't work well with Torres, Crouch, or Voronin...he isn't worth what they are paying him.
I would keep my eyes on Michael Bradley playing in the EPL in the near future, he scored 19 goals for Heerenveen and it was his first year playing in Europe.
You need to watch Fullham next season for Eddie Johnson...he's fucking awesome when he's fit. He's fast as hell and he can put the ball away very well. He's like the American version of Drogba....I mean he's not going to score anywhere near as much as Drogba but when he's healthy he's really damn good.
I don't know about anyone else but I am looking forward to the Olympic soccer matches. I hope the US can do well....they should start doing a lot better with the young talent they have.
