Would be a one sided hiding to nothing if the 2 ever met and i suspect JC would get a heavy points win.
What possibly does chad dawson bring to the table that jeff lacy never??
lacy is still a class act who has it within him to become a world champion at 168 if he ever manages to get over recouring injuries.
Ive rated dawson for a while but still think the guy is a long way off being the finished article.
Pavlik, kessler, miranda, RJJ, froch - all deserve a shot at JC before you can start mentioning CD`s name!!
Oh come on comparing Lacy to Dawson is a bit silly bro IMO, Lacy kept walking forward against Calzaghe looking for 1 big punch all night, Dawson is taller, he has better skills, has a better defense, better foot work, better hand speed, the list just goes on and on.
Froch? Are you serious? You can't be serious.
Kessler? Why would you rematch somebody your beat so clearly.
Miranda? That's even more silly than Froch.
Pavlik - maybe, but he still has fights to make at 160.
Jones - This will probably happen, but not because Jones deserves it.
Lacy may be a class act, but Peter Manfredo was outboxing him until Jeff caught him. In every respect except power, Dawson is a superior fighter. He schooled Adamek, he got the win over Glen Johnson, and he has a win on his resume over Eric Harding. Those three wins are better than anything Lacy has every done. He holds the WBC belt. If Calzaghe wanted to fight the most deserving challenger, it would be Dawson, but he won't do it because he has very little to gain. Even Tarver has more claim than the people you mention.
Naturally im talking about a 168/catchweight fight.
pavlik/miranda wouldnt dream of stepping up to 175 for JC - froch could manage it and his desire to make the fight happen would be enough to make it a light heavyweight contest.
Of course the chances of any of these fights going down are non existent.
All ifs and buts - JC will fight either RJJ for another big name on his CV or will solidify himself as the number1 at 168+ against pavlik!!
