James Scott was a killer, he beat Eddie Mustfa Muhammad, Richie Kates, Yaqui Lopez, but could n't get a title shot because he was doing life for an armed robbery-murder, plus I don't think the W.B.C or W.B.A wanted there champion to be some one doing Life for murder. But then he lost to Jerry "The Bull" Martin in a 10 rd decision, then his former sparring partner Dwight Braxton ( later known as Dwight Muhammad Qawi) returned to Rahway Pen, to fight him, claiming Scott owed him about $1000.oo for sparring with Scott yrs earlier. Qawi chased Scott all over the ring, Scott even got up on his toes like Ali at times to get away from Qawi, The Camden Buzzsaw was that ferocious and IMO one of the most under-rated fight of all-time. James Scott quit after that loss, but for awhile there nobody wanted to fight him, at least none of the title holders.
