I watched this fight with my brother one of my favorite boxing memories ever. We knew nothing about either guy just remember making fun of the name Popo but damn that was one hell of a fight. The punch was a split second after the bell I was surprised they called it a knockdown but how stunning was that? I mean Barrios had this incredible round and then just froze with his legs apart it was shocking and then of course it ended in the 12th. Great fight great fight. I hate that Freitas gets such the bad rap that he does as far as quitting because of how great this fight was.

Actually your right about the knockdown at the end of the 11th, i just re watched the round and it was indeed half a second after the bell. Plus Barrios was caught coming in as well which made the punch even worse.

He brought that on himself though...it's kind of ridiculous to be a power puncher AND a pretty boy the way Frietas is...I think he could have made some noise at 140. And Barrios has done NOTHING since losing to Frietas

Thats a step in the right direction.. i think he would win that fight.. and its all just names and wins until more title shots and big fights.. He could be back up there with two big performances easy..
