Pavlik clearly won the last 2 rounds which erased any doubt in my mind, i'll admit it was close after 10 rounds but after that Pavlik clearly won last 2 rounds to pull out the victory 7-5 on my card, which means by your scoring you had Taylor ahead by at least 3 rounds or more after 10 rounds what the hell ??
I don't think Taylor got robbed, but I do think a case could be made for him winning the fight. I've only seen the fight once, but I remember Taylor landing the cleaner, harder punches and Pavlik looking very sloppy and missing with most of his shots. I thought that Taylor's aggression was much more effective, aside from that body shot in the 11th, I don't recall Pavlik landing anything that was really significant.
I don't think Taylor landed the harder shots i think he landed the cleaner more flashier punches but i thought, overall Pavlik landed the harder shots and he was more consistent. It may of not been as pretty as Taylor's combinations, but it was getting the job done and Pavlik was working 3 minutes of every round, i can see a case for Taylor winning but IMO. I think any doubt should have been erased in the last 2 rounds.

To be fair there are a lot of guys for whom it would be a lot more ridiculous to call mechanical than Kelly. Not sure that sentence made sense. Either way.

I agree with the "mechanical" statement 100%

    jab,jab,right. jab,jab,right.

Pavlik is just one of Wladimir Klitschko's animated turds.

I have disliked the whole Pavlik crew after he robbed Jermain Taylor in the rematch. I'm also sick of seeing videos of pavlik hitting heavy bags with baseball bats or tires with sledgehammers. This kind of training is why he is so mechanical...plod, plod, plod until hopefully you can load up and connect with one big shot. Pavlik will not be around for long. Once he moves up in weight he is done.
Well said, brother. I'll cover you while you run for the door.

I don't dislike Pavlik at all, I'm a fan actually but he is a bit mechanical/predictable.

    He beat Taylor though

Someone should tell Enzo that Lockett isn't very good. And Calzaghe isn't knocking anyone out, though I do think he'd beat Pavlik. And as has been said, Pavlik is rather mechanical. Lots of good fighters are though.

Im in the same boat there. Pavliks power and output makes him interesting to watch. Seems like a likeable fellow but is a tad formulaic.

Calzaghe loves come forward fighters and beating Pavlik would be easier than beating Kessler IMO.

And then a perfect time to call time on it all....

I think Enzo is right when he says that Pavlik is mechanical.

Thats not to say that Lockett has a chance because a tank is mechanical and they are hard to stop if you dont have the right wepons, and Lockett does not have the right wepons to beat Pavlik.

So, to stretch this metaphor much further than it really should be stretched.... which fighter has the equivalent armory of those sticky bombs that you throw in the tank's caterpillar tracks?

Tinz 06 is absolutely right pavliks trainer disses joe to no end but when enzo does it to pavlik people start hating.

in my opinion enzo's right he is mechanical he only knows how to go forward and throw straights ok against gary lockett pavlik will take him out but lockett or is stable aint going to admitt it.
When you start putting joe in with with pavlikk say the only thing he can do is slap but watch his old fights like eubanks for example put him down with a short sharp left hand and byronn mitchell tko'd him with a barrage of accurate powerful shots i'm not trying to say as powerful as pavlik but he's not a weakling. pavliks wins over jermaine were good fights especially the first fight but even in that fight jermaine showed what happens when pavlik loses control of a fight he starts walking backwards loses timing and drops his hands and lets all be honest jermaine is any thing but a fundemetaly sound where as i think joe is fundemetally sound(although he likes to get cocky dropping hands) but also changes style i.e bernard fight mikkel fight.

Yeah, Pavlik is mechanical and he basically does one thing, but he does that one thing so well that it doesn't matter. Winky Wright is mechanical and only does one thing.

You are wrong that only his power is exceptional. His jab is great and what he lacks in speed with the jab he makes up for in times. He is relaxed and poised in the ring. He has good power, but he's special because once his gets his man stunned, he is a great finisher. If Jermaine was a poised finisher like Kelly, Kelly would have been KTFO in the first fight.
