What's the latest on Roy Jones vs Calzaghe?

Jones is one of my favorites and it would be a shame to see him lose to Calzaghe when i would have bet all the money i have in the world on a prime Jones beating Calzaghe. Well thats your opinion. Something inside me says Roy Jones still has the skills to do Calzaghe over. I'm in 2 minds though...i'd be pissed off if Calzaghe took Roy's scalp because years from now you'll have fan boys talking shit about Joe being better than Roy because he beat him...but another part of me wants a smug Joe Calzaghe to be humbled by somebody that he obviously see's as an easy target. I believe Roy can still do it. Would be a great end to Roy Jones' legendary career too.

I dont really want to see this either to be honest. Its just another lose lose for Calzaghe. He beats him,roy was shot(wich he is) ..Joe loses(wich he wont) it destroys his legacy.

Ive had loads of debates about Joe and Jones. I rate Joe higher than jones but prime for prime i would say Jones wins.

I think Calzaghe knows this.

At the same time I want so bad to see Jones in the flesh in wales.I could have the satisfaction of being able to say ive seen him for real.Even if he is shot.

Calzaghe would stop Jones Jnr who is all but shot. I know they say that great fighters can have one great fight left in them but I think Jones is to far down the other side of the hill.


In both primes I would have picked Jones. At this stage of their careers though and with Joe fighting possibly his last fight and in Wales I see Joe pulling of a late stoppage win.
