Even though he's vacating the WBC belt he is still the no 1 Welter. Don't think there's anyone close inc Cotto.

    Why wont he prove it?

Why would you defend this fruad? I don't get it. Did he prove to you he was the the number one Welter Weight?

Who did he beat at Welter Weight that warrants him such a top spot?

I am not going to mention their names, I will have you do it. So I can laugh when I get back.

I don't like his attitude and he should defend his belt against the very best in the Welter divison. I agree with you on that. But he has beaten quality opposition over the years and I think he would outbox anyone in the Welter divison. Just my opinion. He should chase a fight with Mosely and then the winner of Cotto-Marg. I believe he will after the De La Hoya rematch.

His welterweight status is actually minor, floyd is the pfp best fighter.... that includes WW. If the man that holds the belt is a joke, then the people in the division trying to get it must be below that. It amazes me how much floyd is brought up even when he is out of the spotlight for the time being. There are so many good fights and fighters out there for people to be so obsessed trying to knock someone who is at the top of the game these other guys all play. I can make a million reasons why the kings aren't in the playoffs this year, and it changes nothing. All that matters is what the scoreboard says at the end of the game. Cotto fans should be only worried about tony...it not even a guarantee he'll get past him. And if he doesn't does that make him any less of a fighter ?? Of course not. But it makes all the propaganda look silly. Ask hatton fans.

If Jesus Christ came out and endorsed Floyd Mayweather, Danny G would be Jewish the next day. Honestly, you're contradicting yourself here.

How the fuck am I the one contradicting myself?
The ring is keeping this clown as the no1 ww and this fool has not faught a welter since 2006. You don't see anything wrong with that?

That number one rank now belongs to Miguel Cotto.

I dont give a fuck what you or the c0ck ring magazine say

And why do you have to talk shit about Jesus?
Jesus loves me more than I love myself. Jesus is cool and Jesus would never endorse PBF. Jesus does not like the rich.
He might love PBF and forgive him but he aint down with PBF. NO!

Im Mayweather fan but i do understand what Danny is getting at here, Hatton is natural Jr Welterweight and had no history at Welterweight except controversial fight with Collazo, ODLH vs Mayweather was at Jr Middleweight and again ODLH hadn't fought at Welterweight since 2001 . But Danny here is the question about Cotto i want to ask you, when he fought Shane Mosley, Mosley only had 1 fight at Welterweight before his fight with Cotto and had not fought at Welterweight in years, Oktay Urkal also his best weight was Jr Welterweight so how do you feel about those fights ?? not saying your wrong about Mayweather i understand what your getting at but im just raising question about Cotto also.

The Ring belt is now irrelevant as it is now owned and controlled by a single promoter.

If people kept saying it is the only belt that matters, what happens 5 years down the road? No fighter outside the Oscar umbrella would be ranked or get a title shot. There are already signs in the lightweight division that he is trying to force his hand and control the belts movement in house only.

Be very careful what you wish for people.

I don't even know what to make of all this. Mayweather is without a doubt the best P4P fighter today, but his inactivity and refusal to fight the best in his division disgusts me. I think they should remove him from the top spot in the Ring Rankings and see how he reacts to it. Will he b*tch and moan or will he shut his mouth and take everyone out?

you know I am surprised that the Ring doesn't have an inactivity statute............ Say 2-2.5 years. That is a long time in boxing, even in these days of boxing one or two bouts a year.

Berto does not deserve a title shot at this point.Whatever happened to The santioning Alphabet boy's Assigning "Mandatory" Defenses?Honestly Mayweather does not Need the belt(s) to declare his championship calibur....But if he refuses to fight the Cotto/Margarito winner He is a farce Imo.A Belt does not make the Champion........His actions do.By fighting DelaHoya in a cash grab rematch, He is not stating or saying shit worth hearing!

Its good for berto, fair play i like the guy and he'll become a world champion but in effect it also ends his unbeaten streak..

Because right now.. he cant hang with the welterweight elite and that title will be a target on his chest..

    but you know.. GOOD

Floyd isnt defending the fucken belt anyway.. Free it up.. there is ALOT of genuine talent at welterweight who deserve a world title and we can get back and see who can unify or beat the other recognised champs and make a different belt the lineal/Linear? title.. Lol

Floyd has no use for titles anyways.. Keep doing your p4p thing and dont be hoggin and gaurding the straps..
