I don't think he looked that great really. Juan did hold a lot so to blame that all on Hatton is silly but Juan was really made for Hatton and at times Hatton struggled.

He mainly just needs to jab more coming in, get rid of that stupid lead left hook.

I thought he looked pretty sharp and motivated. I was scared about that, because after a first loss at a career it can really effect a fighter. But that wasnt the case for Ricky. He really did look like he still wants to be the best in the world and fight the best. After the performance he had against Juan, I back Ricky to beat anybody at 140.

Lazcano was picked to get stopped. Hatton had to work his bollocks off the whole fight.

Few years back he would have got Lazcano out of there. He gets hit far too much these days and has lost that "walk through walls" aura.

Actually I think Hatton looked better Saturday night than in his last 3 fights. I was at the fight, he didnt hold as much, threw much better combinations and worked the body alot more like his used too. Yes he took some punches but thats the way Hatton fights and he always will. He had Lazcano in trouble on a number of occasions and only once did I think Ricky was in any trouble and that was the 10th round and he recovered quickly, the people who say the ref saved him are talking bullshit his lace came undone and had to be retied, if anything Lazcano looked the more unsteady on his feet at the time.

Wouldnt say it was up there with one of rickys great nights.

It was certainly a lot better than the last fight.

But urango, maussa, castillo and now lazcano - all similar performances with different outcomes.

Best performances ive ever seen from hatton was the tszyu and magee fights!!!
