    -Colin Hart

It sounds like he has genuine concern for Ricky's health in the ring.

Sounds like he's trying to become some sort of moral leader to me. How did he expect him to look?

Man, the guys from the Sun paper, if you lived in the UK you would know how shit the Sun paper is. I wouldn't use it to wipe my ass with.

Hey!!! Just make sure you pull out the 'Dear Dierdre' section and hand it to me before you take that dump!

    ''Dear Dierdre,
I have a 2 inch phallus and can not make my girlfriend cum. Can I make it bigger??''

Dierdre's response - ''No, but don't worry. Love will prevail and she will love you regardless..you can always pleasure your girl in other ways. Try giving her oral''

Yeah yeah fuck you, you lying old bitch

    Gotta love Dear Diedre!

Obviously the article was effective. We have 4 pages on this thread. It worked.

Bilbo you are dead wrong on a bunch of different levels.

If you really think Gamboa or Khan come close to beating Hatton even in a year's time then you are just crazy, certified nuts because there is no chance. Pacquiao winning would be a tough sell much less Khan or Gamboa.

I don't get why Tszyu was shot. He wasn't prime but he wasn't shot and was coming off one of his most impressive performances as a pro. I personally think Hatton's smothering pressure would have bothered Tszyu at any point in his career. It's just a style that gave Tszyu problems, he needed space to punch and he needed to be moving forward. Doesn't matter what year it was he was always going to have problems with Hatton.

And highlighting every trouble period he's ever had as a pro is just fickle. You could do that with any fighter on the planet, as long as they won the fight the point is moot.

And most importantly, if you think Hatton hasn't at all declined then again, just don't know what to say. Watch any fight, the Tszyu, Maussa fight specifically and then watch him against Collazo. Not the same fire. Not nearly the same bounce in his step, looked sluggish in both his fights in America. Looked better against Floyd but was in the ring with a much better fighter.

Talks of Hatton's demise have been greatly exaggerated. It's going to be a while before he has to come up with an exit strategy. Once guys like Lamont Peterson, Devon Alexander, Victor Ortiz develop more then he'll have a worthy challenger to his 140 lb supremacy. Right now he looks to be a cut above everybody at the weight.

I have no problem with hating a fighter but come on do you really buy what you are saying? That Khan or Gamboa would wreck Hatton? Honestly now...

I did that purely to make a point. Experts and guys on here were saying he should call it quits because he had some tough moments on Saturday. I pointed out that 3 or 4 years ago he still had tough moments against lesser opposition. The point is, getting caught a few times on Saturday does not warrant him retiring.

I still fail to see how anybody can see has declined when you consider the fights he struggled in 3/4 or 5 years ago.

I think people are basically using the Tszyu fight as a yard stick to how good he was. He was super-human that night. Just because he hasn't produced a performance on that level since, doesn't mean he should retire.

I just saw the fight at home properly. On Saturday I was in a bar and I downloaded it but right now was the first real good look at it. He's definitely not the fighter that beat Tszyu but he's still got enough for a few more entertaining fights left in him. He was hurt in the eighth but not in the tenth. Good luck to him for the future, but he's on the down slope now.

Colin Hart gets on my nerves but he's right about Hatton not being the fighter he used to be.. I think another loss is inevitable too.. but don't think he needs to retire just yet

I'm surprised ANYONE could think Hatton is as good as he was 3/4 years ago.

    Lazcano would have been stopped.

    You're well overrating him.

I never implied that at all. IMO just read ICB's post, he sums it up perfect.

It depends which Hatton from 3/4 years ago. The Hatton that struggled against Vilches? The Hatton that looked quite poor against Maussa?

He had his poor nights then fighting much shitter fighters.

It's also very difficult to come back from a KO loss and look as good as the fighter who beat Kostya Tszyu etc...

When i read it this morning you can see straight away it's just an absolute load of bolocks.

Poor poor article. I get the feeling he is just dissing Ricky for the sake it...You watch now next week there will be another article going on about Naasem quiting after his first loss calling him a bum and all this. And then it will praise Hatton for being a brave great champion of the people.

The sun's only good for some Tits and Good football news.
