These guys have been around boxing long enough to realize that no matter what they say,do, orhow they react, isn't going to get the ref to restart the fight. That is the reason I dont like not having the standing eight count. It favors knock outs that arent ko's. It gives the wrong impression on fighters records. Brinkly was hurt not ko'ed. It makes me wonder how many of spinas other fights went the same way.
he took the full count and when the fight resumed he turned away. He has been stopped to the body before, so i dont think that takes a body shot well physically or mentally. In the back of his head he did not want to continue, he just didnt want people to see him quit so he let the ref end it. Thats what he wanted
