British beers thread

Most Americans have lousy taste for beer. We tend to like "light" stuff which is like drinking carbonated water. Newcastle, Boddington, Smythwicks, Bass are all pretty good. Most German, Austrian, Belgian stuff is also good. I prefer stout myself, Guiness or Murphy's Irish are good. My favorite American beer is Samuel Adams which at least has some taste to it. Where I live we also have a place called John Harvard's Brew House where they make their own beer. It's pretty good with the exception of Espresso Stout and Choclate Stout. Yuk!!!

OK, I'm not really into the Newcastle Brown, and Boddies is a bit bland for me, but when it comes to the ales, you could do worse than try a few of these:

Black Sheep Ale - probably my all time favourite, so much I had my dad bring a crate back from the brewery last time he was up north.

Adelscott is the "bollocks" as you "lot" might say....I believe it's from Scotland actually but it's a Scotch Ale and it's really fucking good

I used to drink Worthy Creamflow when i was in college, i was like 16/17 always fucking skint and it was £1.20 in my local lol;

I have never realy been a beer fan though to be honest, Stella or carling if im just local have a queit one, otherwise it's Dark rum & Coke.

Never really liked real ales and more of a lager in the way of carling fan. Classic student!

Maybe I should become a man and try some real ales, its actually been a few years since I gave um a try! My mums fella and my bro really like Black Sheep. Might have to give it a go, I might have grown up abit since last time!
