Just got through watching the 1st fight....AGAIN and unlike last time when i had it 115-113 floyd, this time i scored it a dead even 114-114 with de la hoya winning that 8th round.

ODLH has the style to trouble mayweather and if he can get that left jab pumping for 12rounds........who knows!!!

Watched the fight numerous times.... Delahoya NEVER landed anything of meaning, Albeit the flurries on the ropes looked flashy but all were defended by Floyd.... Floyd dominated the last 1/2 of the fight and buzzed Delahoya 2x good and buckled his knees with a bodyshot..

115-113 to me is more than reasonable The fight was far from a draw

I think Oscar De La Hoya has some sort of mental block. In every big fight he seems to just blow the win. He had the Trinidad fight until he ran giving up the last round. He had the Mayweather fight if he only kept jabbing.

It is not like he did not find his niche until the late rounds but just stopeed using his recipe for success out of nowhere. Strange in my opinion.

Who knows how the rematch will play out. I suspect it will be a mirror of the first bout.

Tough to imagine a different outcome. If PBF was a little more aggressive early especially with that laser sharp straght right, I think we could see a stoppage. But most likely it will the same as the first time.

I'm with you. It's a tough fight for both guys but one that is meaningless and one that the fan's don't want to see. Roll on Mayweather Mosely/Cotto

We'll know it's on for sure when Mayweather goes public saying "I don't need him he needs me, there's no reason for me to fight him, I've proven everything I need to prove". At that point queue the contracts.

i think there is plenty of reason to have a rematch, Mayweather won by one round, period, just using it as an example, Malignaggi had no reason to rematch N'dou, cause IMO he won the title by shutout, he gave a rematch, and squeeked out with a split decision, DLH/Mayweather was a close fight, and Mayweather looked terrified when DLH was backing him up to the ropes with his jab alone, yea his flurries didn't do much but look good, but Mayweather spent most the fight shooting off one or two punches at a time, and no i don't think he'd ever beat DLH by stoppage cause both good shots were that he caught him cleanly and out of nowhere but he never looked hurt, if DLH fights tall on his toes and uses his jab as frequently and as sharply as he did last fight (Forbes) and is sharper with defense, he can beat Floyd.

I second that Bro. I have to give it to PBF for beating a bigger ODLH but if Oscar did pump that jab more he definitely should've beaten PBF. ODLH definitely is not in his prime but in noway is he ready for the taking, I think ODLH beats PBF this time via a close UD.

Call me a cynic but Mayweather/DelaHypa 2 has less to do with a close debatable decision ( good buy line) and more to do with a cash cow payday.Really can not knock them for that I suppose.I think back to Mayweathers words after Hatton Victory and He has brought them to ferition..."Now I need a vacation..I'm not trying to call out any Welterweights.....Ive done what I had to do in the sport.I accomplished what I had to accomplish Now its time for me to become a promoter..." and here they are together,Cha-ching.I just dont see Oscar beating Mayweather but if he does pull it off,Can you say trilogy??...no thanks.

100% agree..... I think even if Oscar might pull out a decision, he'll probably stop jabbing for the last 3 rounds to protect floyds "O"... For future PPV of course, with other "O" fighters (Cotto), which Oscar will profit from.. Because Golden Boy Promotions & I love pretty school boys promotions are in Cahoots with all fights from now on.... It's worth it to Oscar to see Floyd remain unbeat,,, so if Floyd continues fighting, he's worth more $$$.. ODH v PBF II is a boxing conspiricy as far as I can see...... Although I love conspiracy so don't quote me as fact... Unless you can see it too..

This is retarded... anyone who has this fight with less than 4 rounds seperating these two has been smoking something. Oscar didn't even deserve a third of the rounds... Its ridiculous how people think not landing punches counts for something.

Where are the smart people who used to post here anyways... god half the people in this thread have no idea what they are talking about.

Mayweather was by far the better fighter that night, he won most of the rounds, and Oscar couldn't hit him, he couldn't keep up with him, and he couldn't outlast him.

I thought this thing was signed and sealed ?

Not really interested - will be a rerun of the first and a waste of time.

Oscar has been great for boxing but he should move aside now and give the other more deserving guys a crack at Floyd - he ain't going to stick around too long
Don't bully fat kids - they've got enough on their plate
