Even the Gretzky-led Oilers lost in the finals before they went on to dominate for the better part of a decade.
Also, I think Malkin must be injured. If not, and he's just tired/poorly conditioned or unmotivated, then the Pens should trade him ASAP as his value will never be higher.
Now I am a self admitted fair weather fan of the Pens, but they really grew on me this season and I think I will be actively following them from here on.

What I am trying to say: I really want them to trade Malkin. Malkin and Crosby have no chemistry whatsoever. Malkin actually lacks chemistry with the whole team. Im not sure if he doesn't trust the other players, thinks he can do it better, or is just selfish; but I have seen him give away the puck a TON this postseason either trying to do a team job himself or by making bad passes and failing to clear the puck which multiple times just against the Red Wings have resulted in them scoring.

He has got sick skill, he and Ovechkin have the most "flash" skill in the NHL. The thing is Malkin seems to lack Passion, at least he has in the last 2 rounds in the playoffs. I think he would have much rather been playing with Russia in that international tournament than with the Pens for "merely" the Stanley Cup
