If anyone cares, ESPN dropped it and now it looks like Versus is picking it up.

I saw an interview a while ago where they said they were close to being picked up by another network and I figured Versus to be the obvious choice.
If they do, hopefully Versus shows the whole fight.
Anyone know what weight they're looking at this time?
I hope they give the lighter weights a go. Anything from 130 down!
The Best There Is, The Best There Was, The Best There Ever Will Be
I hope they don't find any of Tye Field's relatives to put on the show![]()
At least the fights would be better!
& those guys deserve some attention!
To me its the fighters & fights that make the show, just look at season 2 a complete waste of time IMO
Little guys throw more, are better technically & I'm sure theres some good story lines out there for these struggling little big men!

I'm not sure if smaller fighters would hurt the show or not. The key to this series is making non traditional boxing fans watch the show. The first season did a good job of it, but just not good enough for NBC. The second and third seasons tried to make it more of a sports show, which was fine for the sports audience.
On Versus, it will again be booked for the hardcore sports fan, but I would do much more documentary like segments to get the fighters over more. The key to shows like this is finding "stars" or people who you want to see again and again.
Nooooooooooooo
That sucks. Fuckin versus is alright but its like bottom of the barrell for boxing IMO.
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"
It's as good as dead now I think.

You could be right..
Or it could save it..
For one by getting some lighter but alot better prospects it could draw back in the real boxing fans instead of alienating them with a crude mix of styles and of prospects, bums and veterans where the veterans have nothing else following the contender..
And really the only public to have fallen out with the contender for the most part are the real boxing fans.. One the name alone etc they may well get a couple of watches.. like the first few episodes..
that might be all it takes.. Because if they get the right fighters on the show.. and the public give the little guys a chance.. they would actually be impressed i'd bet.. cos the little guys are far more entertaining.. and within theyr own weight classes hit just as hard as any other division.. if you can see what im getting at.. So maybe brighter prospects if they went with that then is currently assumed..
Immortal Technique
By a pretty good source, NBC has won the bids and it will be Cruiserweight
