So.....Williams won, in shady circumstances (they were attempting to rob him.) The party he managed to KO come out with a staement distancing themselves from their associated officials because they feel they were unjust...

    Bothe brave and admirable.

That letter is all well and good, if it indeed is true... Having watched the fight it really isn't clear to me what Oner's actions really were, maybe I wasn't paying attention to him specifically, though he could be seen ringside. But if he was simply yelling "stop the fight", it seems bizzare that any ringside official would take that as a sign to ring the bell ending the round, unless some "home" cooking had already been arranged.. Regardless you would think that had he wanted the fight stopped and instead the round ended halfway, he would've pressed the issue further rather than let his man come out for round 7? I think he is most likely just trying to cover his ass when really Williams was not supposed to have a fair shake. The referee was poor, but that 6th round by far overshadows anything he did as far as contraversy.

It was certainly an entertaining fight, Danny has been in a couple of barnburners recently, his last fight against Oleg Platov was a war as well in which the Germans did manage to successfully rob him.

Well done Danny for not allowing them to steal this one from him.
