I still say Mundine is a cock, he is full of shit, he thinks he is better then what he is proven, but i dont for one minute let that cloud my judgement on his ability. If he fights the top guys at 160 he'll beat em all except maybe Pavlik and he'll go 12 with Kelly.

If im proven wring ill admit it.
I am not quite as high on Mundine as you, but I do agree with your basic sentiment. He would be a handful for anyone at 160, including Pavlik [1]. Even Kessler did not beat him easily. How anyone could not think he would (could) be top 5 is beyond me.

I do object to your point that he has fought better opponents than Abraham and Sturm though. Kessler, and possibly Soliman, Green and Ottke aside, he don't have the same resume as those guys. And Mundine is 2-2 vs. the mentioned opponents [2]. Abraham and Sturm have fought at least as (many) good fighters as that.

[1] Yes, I'd pick Pavlik to win obivously, but Mundine would be just about the biggest challenge out there for Pavlik at 160.
[2] I refuse to give extra credit for beating Soliman 3 times.

One more thing: How about Daniel Geale for an MW opponent? Looks like an obvious match-up for me. I've never seen Geale, but he is undefeated, holds the IBO belt and is Australian.

Is he any good? And what is the aussie perception of him?

You don't hear anything about him seeing as he doesn't go around doing the "I'm the Greatest" act and blasting our country with racist shit. But i'm hoping better than mundine.

Danny Green over the hill? HAHAHAHA Says all the guys that were backing green and lost. He wasnt over the hill when everyone was saying green would knock him out and that danny would walk through him. He wasnt, he just got beat and out boxed like he would of when ever they met no matter what weight division or what yr. Soliman pushed Wright to the limit and mundine has beat him 3 times alot easier then what wright did it. The third time didnt need to happen in my opinion but Kessler wouldnt give mundine a rematch when he had a chance so why would mundine when the shoe is on the other foot. Payback is a bitch. The third soliman fight shouldnt of happened, stupid IMO BUT who else was there? Anyone callin him out? Mundine has been mouthin off at alot of people and no one from over seas has stepped up to shut it. Mundines doing what he can to get opponents but it doesnt help when they arent willing. Mundine will do damage if he gets some big fights in 160! Here me say that now! Coz i will admit if im wrong, i couldnt give a shit. If he doesnt then pfft means shit all to me. I know Pavlik has wicked power and hes a very good fighter but think of this, mundine has been fighting bigger guys at a higher weight class. So hes felt power before and kessler hits hard and so does green. And we all know mundine didnt go a whole fight without taking shots from either of these guys. So i dont think kelly would knock him out at all, if anything hed win a UD but not a knock out.

I admire your blind faith, but plainly your wrong and until Mundine proves you right you will remain wrong in 95% of boxing fans eyes. Simply because of all the excellent posts before yours. Green was in hospital for days due to dehydration, you think that would not effect someone physically?

Hey man what does that have to do with danny being shot? Thats poor fuckin nutrition. I dont think danny was in hospital prior to the fight unless your talking about after the sean sullivan fight and that was yrs before the mundine fight so you cant blame that. Mate i dont like his antics but the guy can fight and he would of flogged danny green on any given day in any given yr. Dannys style was always going to be trouble for him against mundine. Fuck marcus beyer outboxed him and mundines a much better boxer then beyer. Mundine will shake the division up if he gets the big fights, if he doesnt then he goes no where. My point is that everyone here lets their hatred for mundine out of the ring cloud their judgement. Mundine can box very well and theres probably not anyone at 160 who can match his hand speed. He will be trouble for anyone, if he doesnt beat them then he will do some damage.

I personally don't hate Mundine, I'm not too bothered about his controversies and I have huge respect for his achievements in both his sports, but his choice of opponents have been a joke recently, he's looking to cash in against domestic rivals who aren't close to genuine world class. The worst thing about him at the moment is his hypocrisy, saying no one will fight him, yet he gets a chance at redemption against Kessler (where he would have got the champions purse, as well as home ground if his promoters put in a decent offer) and doesn't take it. NOT the actions of a fighter looking to create a legacy.
