Oh, I thought this was this other one I saw pics of. Girl (can't remember her name) had just graduated from high school a few weeks earlier. She had a fast car and was doing in excess of 100 on the freeway. She lost control and wrecked. Her head was popped like a grape. It was surreal; one of the EMT workers on the scene snapped a few pics (which got him fired) and you can see everything else that looked normal (she even had a nice manicure). She still had long, wavy brown hair, just no head. It was the top and back of her skull that was left.

I can't imagine that! I remember seeing a picture of a boy that had ran into the back of a semi trailer. He was still in the drivers seat, and his head had plowed into the steering wheel. Where his nose should have been, the steering wheel was like 2 inches deep inside his face from the impact!!

Years ago, after my dad die,d I went to a shrink to see if I was crazy. I was hugely stressed over grad school results, the chick situation, etc. And across the room from me was a doc who was burned in a bus accident, face mangled, a hook for a hand, the whole bit. and I'm griping about petty shit.

When you see a poor girl like that, you tend to say who gives a shit that my hair aint quite as thick as it used to be, or the 2 pounds of candied peanuts I ate watching the game gave me a smll zit that nobody can even see.

Yes we see how much we really do have it made and here we are bitchin' and fussin' and moanin'. We should give thanks for what we got and also for what we DON'T have! All I can do is hope and pray that never happens to me or anyone else I know.

That helps to put your problems in a different perspective, but that isn't dealing with your problems. Just because my dog got run over doesn't mean I should just shrug and move on after my dog died. One doesn't just invalidate the other.
