Ahhh well, ending was close. 3-2 Detroit.
Congrats Detroit. Were the better team and deserved the win.
Pitts had the opp. but did not convert.
Good game all in all.

I don't doubt that in that case it was the defense, but throughout his career Boucher has had moments of brilliance surrounded by long periods of mediocrity (at best). That, to me, speaks of a lack of focus/the proper mental make-up. The guy couldn't have set the shut-out streak records if he didn't have a great deal of skill, he just lacks the ability to be consistent and to actualize that skill for more than a few games at a time.
That one year to get them there,he was freaking lights out.It was just frustrating as heck to watch him never continue it. I mean watching Bouch that year, he was unreal. And then the defense tanks when it really mattered. And then he becomes often pedestrian.
A lot of any sport is mental, and he just never really recovered mentally from that.
Talent can only take you so far, your brain has to be clear as well
...Pens needed defense
from what i saw they were outclassed pretty much everywhere, not just D.
Edit: Didn't see Cortez's post. It's bang on.
