WHy do people rate JMM so high ?

    He lost to pac
He lost to Chris John not that long ago (though i didnt see that fight)
He had a very very questionable win against Barrera (and he did get knocked down in that fight!)

He is p4p for sure but above Cotto in some cases!? Cotto is on a long winning streak against very good opponents and def should not be below jmm

I gotta admit I'm rating him more as a featherweight but in my opinion he beat Pac first time round and only lost the second on a split decision at super. Chris John ain't on his level but yeah he lost to him and he had a couple of points deducted for fouls, I think low blows?

I did struggle with my list though, seemed simple once i started but I stick by it for now.

He beat pac both times if you ask me

I had him winning both fights by a point.

You have to be a world class athlete to go toe to toe with manny pac for 24rds and JMM did it.

I went for linares over diaz solely on the fact i feel he is a better prospect.

I'm just glad making the list isn't my job. There are arguments for so many different scenerio's.

I had it the other way around. But look, everybody should respect the judge’s verdict because they were very close fights that could have gone either way. JMM is technically better, but he got floored 4 times. And most fans wanna see KOs or KDs in any fights. They're like slam dunks of NBA, touchdowns of NFL, and homeruns of MLB. Pac made both fights exciting. Ring officials were more impressed of Pac because of his aggresiveness and showmanship.

Whats people's reasoning for having Hopkins in their top 10. Surely his status there is reflective of his record and big names on it?

If its ability, taking away weight how is it justified that Pavlik goes in there. He does just the job without any exceptional skill, and his age means he doesn't have such an accomplished list of victims.

Its always difficult to weigh up people to put into a Pound-For-Pound list.

For me Hopkins wouldn't be on there, because he is abit diminished and although he has fought alot of big names, i still dont think he should be in there.

Pavlik should be, despite his lack of many great names on his record, or his technique. He still gets the job done and has a great punch.

Could there ever be a justified points system that could be created to decide a top 10 pound for pound list? I think not

Not really all that much has changed on my list. A few bum ups and additions

I added either Ivan Calderon or Chris John at #10 can not really decide

    1. Joe Calzaghe
    2. Manny Pacquiao. ( #1 and #2 can go either way)
    3. Israel Vazquez
    4. Juan Manuel Marquez
    5. Kelly Pavlik
    6. Bernard Hopkins
    7. Miguel Cotto
    8. Ricky Hatton
    9. Rafael Marquez
    10. Ivan Calderon/Chris John

To me this is the real one right now :

    1- Manny Pacquiao
    2- Miguel Cotto
    3- Kelly Pavlik
    4- Joe Calzague
    5- Israel Vasquez
    6- Rafael Marquez
    7- Winky Wright
    8- Ivan Calderon
    9- JMM
    10- Ricky Hatton

If Pacquiao win his next fight against Diaz , he could still in the first place
If Cotto win his next fight against Margaro , he could still in the second place and both positions depend of their performance in the fight......
