I didn't think they would let him out for the 3rd.
To be fair though, Lockett had some brief success, unfortunately his best shots bounced back off Pavlik's bonce.

Calzaghe can beat Pavlik. But Calzaghe cannot afford to fight like he did against Hopkins. I thought Calzaghe won by a couple of rounds but there were things that have made me think a little.
Calzaghe with his A game decisions Pavlik handily...

Calzaghe has a good chin and we all know I'm not a hater... Quite to the contrary I think Joe C is a great champ...
But make no mistake, he has NEVER fought anybody with the pop Kelly has...
People keep mentioning Kessler above. Kessler, although his record shows a 74% KO winning percentage, look who they're against... Used up war horses and tomato cans...
Kessler is actually a very well schooled technical boxer... More that then anything... He is not the power puncher people make him out to be...

Yeah, completely different fighters. Calzaghe was sloppy against Hopkins though. Hopkins is impossible to look good against, but Calzaghe wasnt quite in the zone that night. The knockdown probably prepetuated the relatively conservative performance.
Calzaghe has the tools to make Pavlik look downright sloppy too. It has FOTY potential all over it.
