High jump How utterly ridiculous. I'd pay to see that feat attempted. Pole vault would be a riot. And you can't forget thr rings and balance beam for the gymnastics portion of the event Balance beam, lmao.
Damnit all, pole vault is what I meant by high jump. Maybe I can take part in the games, I can't even type the right words.
High jump they would run right underneath the pole, lol.

Speed skating would be comparable to watching the beheading videos

Oh I have one better than that: Faith Hill redid Janis Joplin's "Take another piece of my heart." When asked why the song was so terrible she said, "I didn't know anyone else had ever sung the song." How are you such a dumb cunt female singer that you hadn't heard the original of that song.. That took her hotness level down like 193 notches.

The torch lighting ceremony could get ugly with all those polyester track suits.

Piece of My Heart and Me and Bobby McGee are two songs I love. Joplin's voice is outstanding on both.

I don't really like Tool anymore, but they did an awesome cover of Zepplin's No Quarter.

I saw Tool in concert and I wasnt super impressed. Was by far the wierdest fuckign show I have ever been to: Found a way to switch this to concerts attended:
I guess you can't compete whenever I have seen Gov't Mule, Ronnie Baker Brooks, The Mavericks, Bobby Bare, Kenny Wayne Sheppard, Luther Allison, The Kentucky Headhunters, Smoking Popes, David Ball, Creed (not that great), Alan Jackson, Marshall Tucker Band (b-), Steppenwolf (b-), Buddy Guy (completely wasted), Saves the Day, Taking Back Sunday, Modest Mouse , Band of Wild Horses, LeeRoy Van Dyke, Alabama, Hank Thompson, Buddy Brewster, Coco Taylor, B.B. King, A Perfect Circle, Richochet, Rhonda Vincent and the Rage, Jerry Douglass, Allison Kraus, Big Smith, Ted Nugent, and last but certainly not least (I will remember more), the Bottle Rockets.

I'm a big SRV fan. But I can't say if his "Voodoo Child" is better than Hendrix.

    Junior Brown,
I saw Tool and they fucking sucked. The Smashing Pumpkins also sucked badly. Completely turned me off of both groups. Pantera, Radiohead, Bruce Springsteen, Social Distortion, Flogging Molly, Foo Fighters, and U2 are probably the best I've seen. I would need 2 pages to list all the shows I've seen. Pantera was hands-down the best though. I was on the floor, near the stage, and it was like a 2 1/2 hour brawl.

Here are a few of mine:

Higher Group - RCHP (originally Stevie Wonder)

Superstar - Sonic Youth (originally The Carpenters)

Planet Caravan - Pantera (Black Sabbath)

Where Did You Sleep Last Night/Any other cover from Unplugged - Nirvana (originally Ledbelly)

Cat Scratch Fever - Pantera (originally Ted Nugent)

    Anything covered by the Beatles...

Under My Thumb - Social Distortion (originally the Rolling Stones)
OK, thou hath blasphemed. I don't even like Higher Ground, but whoever the hell RCHP is did NOT do a better job of it than Stevie Wonder. I've heard the rocked out version and it sucks. Just because you throw in a couple guitars doesn't make a remake better than the original.

That being said, here are my nominees:

    Shout, by Disturbed

Word Up, by Korn (I'd say it's more like a tie, though)

Isn't that Creep song by Radiohead a remake?

    Hey Joe, by Jimi Hendrix

Landslide, by Smashing Pumpkins (mainly because I can't stand the original singer's voice)

Metallica redid Whiskey in the Jar; loved it personally.

Other than Beautiful People, Tainted Love is the only other song I liked from Manson; good cover.

Korn did real good at making a Another Brick in the Wall cover originally done by the great Pink Floyd.

    Metallica did the best cover of Seger's Turn the Page. In fact they did a 2 cd collection of covers; all of them great{though CFH will probably dispute that}

The Metallica version made me aware of the Seager version. I like them both.

Seager did a cover of Lionel Ritchie's "Stuck on You" and they sound exactly the same.
