Its surprising to me that when I think about it I think Bunema beating Karmazin surprised me more than anything. Some fights that are being thought of by some as upsets weren't even really upsets to me, Casa over Kats, JuanMa over Ponce, Yoan losing to Braithwaite, etc., some were prospects losing fights and you can never be too surprised at what happens to a relatively untested prospect, and some guys were upset by solid pros, Spinks-Phillips, Diaz-Campbell, Williams-Quintana, those all to some degree surprised me but all three winners are solid guys.
Its not that I was so surprised that Karmazin lost because I thought he was just that great, I thought he was one of the top 154 pounders but not a P4P type guy by any means, its just that I thought so little of Alex Bunema his whole career. I just never thought he was a very good fighter. And to knock Karmazin out, that really surprised me. That was a Sturm-Castilliejo type surprise to me.

The upsets keep piling up...
What was the upset this weekend Mick?
Surely not Santos ko'ing Alcine I would have thought Santos would have been a clear betting favourite going into that fight, a two time world champ and conquerer of Margarito, versus a nobody who won a belt against another virtual nobody.
Just go back over the WNF and FNF lol
Deandre Latimore over Sechew Powell
Reynaldo Lopez over Mike Oliver
Gabriel Rosado over James Moore
Jose Luis Herrera over Aaron Williams
Shaun George over Chris Byrd (This is debatable)
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
What about Koba Gogoladze, (Although I never really rated him seeing him lose out badly to Alex Arthur) he signed the big deal with Golden Boy made his way over to the States only to be brutally KO'ed in the 1st round of Golden Boy debut by a 13-5 Ji Hoo Kim, who had never fought outside Asia and never beaten anyone.
Must have been egg on a few faces I think..
Condes loosing to Garcia
