I guess that means do they ever get out onto the field at all. (I'm not sure about sitting on the bench)...

What if a person in their freshman year appears in 23 games (or makes 23 appearences), but in their sophomore year they only appear in 5 games?

But seriously, why would a player make 23 appearences in their freshman year, but only appear in 5 games during their sophomore year?
