Even if that were 100% correct it does not mean that Kessler is the better fighter.

Gatti would fight anyone, but he isn't going to be remebered for his vistories because of it.

End of the day Calzaghe should be the one fighting Pavlik but in my opinion he is abit chicken when it comes to fighting Pavlik.But the number 2 supermiddle in the world the man Calzaghe beat is more than willing to test himself against Pavlik if Calzaghe had been abit more of a risk taker he would have had a better fan base sooner and wouldn't had to have 21 defences to get noticed.

Having just beaten the No.1 ranked lineal Light Heavyweight champion, was there any real benefit from drawing the middleweight champ from his comfort zone anyway?

I should think any natural supermiddlewight in the top ten would take a fight with kelly out of confidence. If they win it will be sseen as them exploiting their size advantage though.

Would rather have seen Joe v Kelly but this would be awesome too and probably a better match actually! I favour Kelly, he throws more and and could overwhelm Kessler. On the other hand,I think Kessler is slightly better technically, and could try to counter Kelly. Either way,would be a tremendous affair. Would it be at 168 though or at a catch weight?

Yeah he could do it, but would weaken himself drastically if he tried. When Pav moves up you will see them meet.
