No i dont think so,i think Calzaghe last fight will be againsr RJJ
Super Middleweight also acknowledge as Kessler's Kingdom when Calzaghe has retire
that is unlikely.
he will probably retire after he fights jones.
Calzaghe's getting older and he knows it, he would have very little to gain by beating the guy again, especially since his chances of winning a seconf fight decrease by the month.
If Kessler beat Pavlik it would make the proposed Kelly/Joe fight redundant though.
I'm actually wondering more if Pavlik beats Kessler would Calzaghe then entertain a fight with Kelly? I would think if Kessler beats Pavlik, Joe would just say he beat a MW making his 1st jump up; why bother with a rematch?
This is what everyone would say if Joe beat Pavlik probably..."He was moving up in weight"...."Kelly wasn't that good anyway"...
Story of Joe's life...Atleast If he fights jones hell have 5 million plus reasons to not care.
I doubt Joe would even want a re-match even if everyone screamed for it.He beat him fairly comfortably the first time round. I dont think calzaghe wants to have eat some of those uppercuts again just to beat Kessler a 2nd time.
"It wasn't the night of the jab"
Calzaghe will fight RJJ win or lose he will cash the check and hang them up. Can't say I'd blame him, he's made a few great paydays now and still has his wits about him, couldn't think of a better time to retire.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
True, which is what I alluded to in a post a few days ago in another Pav/Cal thread. I really don't see where fighting Kelly or RJJ will help him cement that legacy. One is past it and the other hasn't proven himself in any way at a higher weight. Though I would love to see Cal fight Kelly, I'm more in favor of seeing Kelly with other guys at SMW before he fights Cal; if he ever will; i.e Froch, Mundine, Andrade, etc.
