Really happy with the main event back and forth action. Lock didn't look like he won the fight, got busted up pretty good.
Great matchmaking.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
The fights were actually pretty good, even the off T.V. one's. Got to meet and talk to a lot of suprisingly nice people. Teddy atlas reguarless of what i think about him was one of the nicest celebs i've had the chance to meet outside of rodger mayweather who we actually talked to for quite a while yesterday...super super nice dude, not just to us but everyone there last night. F. roach and joe tessatore (however you spell it) were really cool as well. Don't know how much it's worth but rodger said to us not to listen to the bullshit we hear out there...most of the stories we hear are either planned or a lie. He says (and i don't belive him) floyd aint coming back for the reasons we've already discussed here, that he's sealed his legacy already and people only want him to fight now to see him loose, so he has nothing else to prove. Sucks cause i would love to see it but like i said i think we will no matter what rodger said last night. I do agree somewhat though, floyd could fight the lord himself this friday even at middleweight (floyd still probably weigh around 147 day of the fight) and there would be those who still wouldn't give him credit and say jesus was past him prime....but a pre crucifixion christ would have beat him lol !!! But like i've stated before i'm glad he's gone.....Photo_#446.jpg

Damn...
With my newly found lifestyle I miss out on chatting on here during fight nights... I might have to re-think my schedule here.
I did see the fights tho as I can see thru the sliding doors.
Escobedo needs to stick to his boxing, he's a really good boxer but too many times he want's to trade and he looks for the KO. If he would just stick to his boxing he'd do very well. The KOs came easy for him early in his career and that's why I think he looks for them often. As I said he can box he just needs to get it in his head. When he popped the jab there was nothing Favela could do. Look at the combos that Escobedo put together upstairs & downstairs 3, 4 punch combos.
Roger IMO, gassed out Lock just never gave up and fought the whole way through. YOu gotta give the guy credit for that because for a while Roger was in full control.
All in all good fights and a good night of boxing.
Mar, thank for the insight on the night and sounds like you had a good time out there.

I used to read through these threads but they're just getting longer and longer, ten pages, its just a can't do thing.
Anyway I've never been that impressed with Escobedo. He does some things well but he's really not that gifted athletically and he doesn't seem like the hardest guy to hit in the world.
Lock frustrated the shit out of me, that fight showed how important mentality is in boxing, cause he should have never been in a position where he could have lost that fight, he was bigger, stronger, faster, at least as skilled and he gave away rounds that he never should have lost. When he finally had to do it he did but he shouldn't have waited that long.
