Abraham showed that he is well rounded, and I think a fight with Pavlik is more important than Calzaghe... I would really question Kelly if he moved up to 168 when clearly someone has a big problem with his claim to the middleweight crown and I'm not convinced either that a Pavlik KO is a foregone conclusion... Arthur is the shorter accurate puncher with a worlds better defense.. Abraham is the right fight for Pavlik not Joe Cal..

And as my boy Johnny Kickass stated, Arthur was all class and is welcome in the USA anytime he wants..

    Congrats Arthur Abraham

Miranda Hit by Alex Abraham, Arrested? Abraham Fined? - Boxing News

"BoxingScene/MaxBoxing.com has been told by several sources live at the Hard Rock in Florida, that after Edison Miranda was knocked down for the third time by Arthur Abraham and the fight was stopped, Arthur's brother Alexander Abraham, the undefeated junior middleweight, kicked Miranda while he was still down and being checked by the ring doctor.
When Miranda was struck, a brief scuffle took place. The ring doctor tried to intervene on Miranda's behalf and was also kicked. Pro boxer Randall Bailey also came to Miranda's defense and had to be restrained.
BoxingScene was told that Alexander tried to jump out of the ring and was grabbed by security. Security escorted him out of the arena. Some sources have said that he is being taken to a local jail. There is a possible fine being discussed for Arthur in the amount of $100,000."

I missed this fight. But it sounds like Abraham owned Miranda. To stop him so quickly is impressive. A Pavlik fight does sound most tempting.

Miles aside from the 3 knockdowns.

Miranda out-punched and out landed Abraham.
Abraham fought almost the entire fight in defense mode with his hands up in a peek-a-boo style. Only shooting his right hand once or twice a round until round 4 where he just let off.

That was clearly part of Abraham's game plan though. He was either measuring Miranda or letting him tire himself out. Miranda couldn't land shit while Abraham had his guard up.

That's a biatch move by Arthur's brother, that's for sure, but Arthur shouldn't be fined for $100,000 for his brothers actions.

If Arthurs brother was part of the Corner men then he will be fined.

If he wasn't then I'm sure Arthur wont be fined for that.
Then again, I don't think Arthur brother has 100 g's lying around his house.
So in the end whether they fine his direct or his brother the money will more the likely come out from Arthurs account.

    miles,
I've seen plenty of AA in my time. I used to be HIGH on him around 2004/5 and when he picked up the title I tought he was unstopable. I mean the guy was fierce and just came to fight then somewhere along the Shannon Taylor & Kofi Jantuah fight something changed not sure what but he just backed off and he started fighting different. He would just stand there much like he did tonight just starring at his opponent. I really don't understand how he's made it this far. Well actually I do it's his power that has helped him.
If he really want's to be at the top hes gonna have to box more cause it's gonna take something more then power to beat elite fighters.

Miranda got out-smarted. Great game plan by Abraham and his corner. From round 1-2, I could tell the King was up to something.

Great gameplan by Abraham, he was facing a guy that had obviously hit him with shots hard enough in the first fight to break his jaw, so he did the right thing by fighting defensively for the first round, found his rhythm, and then took his shots when they came. Alll credit to Abraham for using his head and taking apart Miranda the way he did.

I was pretty surprised when Abraham started decking Miranda. Very impressive win for him. I mean DAMN!

Gotta feel sorry for Miranda though cus I'm a fan, and that was embarassing to get TKO'd like that by Abraham after their first fight.

He'll be back though. Needs to work on some things though it looks like.

Abraham vs. Pavlik is THE fight. Lets see it get made.
