Totally agreed, title may have come a little early for Berto is still got a lot of improving to do, but as has a title may have to fight these guys, like the list though all of those will be good fights for him

Well he's a world champ now so he has to act like it. If they didn't think he was ready to fight with the big boys then they should have never let him get a chance to fight for the title.
But that's just me =)

Berto should be tested against someone like Collazo or the winner of Judah vs Clottley, so we know what level he really is at. Until then the jury is still out on Berto.

Bx, I agree with you that it'd be great to see unification fights. That being said, individual belts really mean nothing anymore. The winner of the Cotto-Margarito fight is the true welterweight champ IMO, regardless of who else has belts.
If Cotto wins, you can't blame him for fighting Oscar next because it's a huge payday. After he fights Oscar, then he should fight someone out of the Williams/Berto/Clottey/Mosley group.

Actually, Berto is just the interim welterweight champion. For some reason, the WBC is still rating Floyd as their champ.
