There are a lot of these though. I know SweetPea for the most part hates immediate rematches and I've begun to hate them too. Most of them not only are worse then the first but much more one sided. Of course there are exceptions but a few that come to mind.
Barrera - Juarez II
Toney - Peter II
Mosley - Vargas II
Calzaghe - Veit II
OK I'm going to stop there I like those examples though.
goerge forman vs ali they always fought
Baggins Clan Pro Fighter
Chavez vs. Meldrick Taylor
Some say the first fight was dominated by Taylor, but somebody did all that damage to Taylor even without the controversial stoppage. Taylor swallowed so much blood and didn't he fracture his orbital? The second fight should not have occurred. That was a shame.
The rematch taking place was fine, but it was about 3-4 years too late.
Taylor took a horrendous beating, but was back in the ring a few months later, and still fighting at a pretty high level if he wasn't what he once was. Taylor's team never should've allowed him to fight Norris. That was an awful choice.
The rematch was competitive too. Taylor started out well, but after the action-filled 6th round, his legs weren't ever the same.
Danny Williams v Julius Francis
RJJ v Griffiths
JCC v Meldrick Taylor
One that sprang to mind was Brodie V Chi.
Life and death first time around and then Brodie got a shelling in the return.
When God said to the both of us "Which one of you wants to be Sugar Ray?" I guess I didnt raise my hand fast enough
