But it's exciting thought innit Miles, I mean imagine if your students knew that when you came home from class you logged online and became Gandalf the Grey?

They would think you were well cool
Some would be dumbstruck and possibly a little frightened. Some might think of me as an alternative hipster wizard and admire the thought of their teacher throwing a few moves with the staff (the stick, not the co teachers). I actually do a pretty mean Gandalf impression. What does he say in the mines of Moria when fighting the Balrog? "You shall not pass"...or something like that. I have it to a tee.

Has the Lord of the Rings made it over to Korea yet Miles? I imagine with you being so far East you are probably only now getting Knight Rider and Baywatch and that the Hoff is about to become the biggest star in Asia?

The Hoff is the type of guy that you would expect to turn out to be popular here. I have this cable network service and I was browsing the music performances and documentaries last night. Some shockingly bad stuff on there. Everything from Boston to the damn Scorpions with a lot of Mariah Carey thrown in for good measure. Amongst all this I found the Rolling Stones documentary Gimme Shelter which I enjoyed watching. But yeah, The Hoff wouldnt be out of place here.

But back to the main point. Yes, Lord of the Rings was hugely popular out here. The mullet is especially popular with young men. The pop bands out here are just obscene. I mean, the gayest looking creations ever dreamt up. I refuse to watch the dross on the pop channels. Utterly vile and the most unfortunate random use of English in the lyrics. Sample lyric:

come on girl do u like it? i like it i like it
i luv you i luv you A~ what u gonna do about that
    and
    I love you 너 하나만 I need-e- you 널 바라보는 눈빛과 내 말투도
조금씩 그댈 닮아가네요 I love you make this love to me
kevin I`m so in to you I love you

우리 함께 라면 난 기분이 함께 하루 하루라면 매일이
Baby 24/7 all day, i`m clean, so clean

What's it all about? Am I getting old and out of touch with the young groovers or what?

LOL, yeah your just getting old... Saying "I'm clean", is like a big big turn on in the ghetto's these days... With diseases and stuff.. Don't even bother telling someone your great in bed.. "I'm clean" is the catch phrase to get yourself layed nowadays..

I love getting a product made in the East that hasn't had a great translator working on the English... They really do put English words together in a very strange way..

Donny not sure if you saw my earlier invitation but as the best looking and most athletic of the young men on this site (in a non gay way) I was hoping you'd do me the honour and playing the role of Legolas?

Dizaster will make you a nice avatar like his and mine.

Soon the clan will be kitted out in style

Regardless of your choice however, you know you will always be a friend of hobbit's

Well Bilbs, I hadn't actually seen your invitation, but I'm greatly flattered and appreciative.
I also appreciate the compliment as that gave me a little smile.
I have to say of all the Clan's members each of you have contributed to my enjoyment of this site in your own way (particularly Bilbo who has cheered me up more often than any other.)

Unfortunately, last week I committed to the Old Guard system (I want to ensure the integrity of this site in future.) I came up with the idea of the older members consolidating in order to restore some order following recent spam attacks and unnecessary conflict. I had no idea I would be invited qamongst the senior members.
Had I not already committed myself to the Old Gurad I would certainly joiun Clan Baggins.
However, I look forward to socialising with the Baggins clan and I will regularly read your threads as I've found this one really enjoyable.
I've repped all of you regualrly and I will continue to do so as I will continue to laugh, joke and converse with you all.

I see you all as friends, particularly Bilbo and Diz who I've spoken to a lot in my time here, but every member of the Clan is a gent in my eyes.
Apart from Kat who evidently is not a gentleman

Damn, Im falling behind in the ways of the cool young cats. It must be quite something to impress a young temptress with the line "Be mine tonight, luv. Ive not even got the clap!". Much harder work back in the day.
