Kahn, although a bright prospect, has showed some distinct weaknesses despite selective matchmaking.
Although Gomez was predicted to be a neutered force, he did pose plenty of problems for Kahn, not in terms of physicality or athleticism or even skill...but in terms of herat and chin exposure.
Gomez revealed that Khan ha legit problems when dealing with punishment, but is not quite good enough to avoid contact.

I imagine that the hype surrounding him will attract attention from the upper echelons sononer rather than later and I'm not sure thats in his best interest.

You know my feelings on kahn as we had a war of words earlier but i do agree with some points. I just feel forget about a world shot right now he needs to put his chin down his head out the clouds and his feet on the ground. Maby that is the problem he might be looking past these fighters and not respecting them. I dont know y he got rid of oliver harrison either? anybody shine light on that?

Yeh i agree with you on this one,

Yeah getting rid of Oliver Harrison and replacing Dean Powell is a bit strange. I mean i can see the point if he's going to replace him with a world class coach. But Dean Powell?

I think he'll end up grabbing a WBO strap which eventually goes vacant.

Powell is the Sports Network matchmaker. You'll notice he works the corner of all the top SN fighters. Pretty sure it was just a temporary thing.

They'll bring in someone like Buddy McGirt, who they alreay have a connection with

Most of Amir's defensive work is based on being out of range, he was almost running at points on saturday night, he has zero moves on the inside and looks almost desperate and panicky at times when charged.

He can be a force in the division, but needs a big change in approach. While he's a much better prospect than Audley ever was, I see similarities in the way they try to avoid being punched at all cost, rather than block and do work on the inside himself. A new trainer is required IMO, possibly Roger Mayweather and they should break the bank to ensure his services as well as tough (reality checking) sparring stateside.

I see very careful matchmaking indeed in his future. At least two or three more learning fights, but probably more. He's not ready for a really top operator and may never be.

Khan really isn't that bad of a prospect, he's managed to win, had some rough spots that he's recovered from well, he's getting experience in the ring stayin busy, he's a prospect but one with promise, too soon to shit on him yet, this is the stage he's supposed to be making mistakes at, what he does and how he learns from them in the future is something no one knows yet.
