He should have done this years ago then perhaps he would have taken more risks and could have been a legend for fighting the best rather than because he made 21 or 22 defences.

to late IMO... If he is only one fight then out he should have just stuck with warren and finished his career stress free
my only advice to joe now would be to be very carful what he goes on record as saying from today onwards... and Ring up Naz and Ricky for a few pointers on what not to say
Good luck Joe you aint got long left so tread carfully![]()

perhaps Warren fancied the Pavlik fight so Joe ran as far and as fast as he could.
Array
Why would Joe want to join forces with the sinking ship that is Sports Network
Should be a mega star already,no doubt Warren held him back but he's only got himself (JC) to blame really.
Ain't as if Warren had a gun to his head![]()

Would loved to have watched Warrens face when he found out.

If Calzaghe ends up fighting one more fight and that fight is Jones then I think that's just pathetic. I wouldn't mind him taking a payday then fighting Pavlik. But Roy Jones, Jr? Really? What the hell has Roy done? Beaten an old man in Trinidad and now he's back in the mix? He's not even a top tier Lt Heavy.
Array
Pathetic or not...well that's a matter of opinion.
Joe's an undefeated fighter who's broken records & has made future stars lose their lustre.
Roy's actually done a hell of a lot on the comeback trail...especially considering what he went through with his knockout losses.
Some pretty harsh statements there.
Never beg a 40 dollar hooker...specially after she's just turned down your mom's credit card!!

Unless Calzaghe is going to have 3 or fights more and try and cash in I dont really see the point in splitting from Warren now. I dont see the purpose or what Joe is hoping to achieve if he really is going to call it quits after just 1 more fight.
A few years back it would have made sense but to do it now just seems odd. I hope Joe knows what he's doing this for and he gets it right.
Array
I hope Calzaghe fights Pavlik. Seeing Joe get knocked out and his undefeated record disappear would be awesome![]()

Haha, good for Joe, Warren must be pissing himself. I wonder just how ugly this could get for both if its not an amicable split.

He should have left him many years ago. A bit too late now really...
