whats the point if all ITV are gonna do is start their coverage 5minutes before the fight, show an annoying short montage vid and then serve up the main event quicker than you can say "audley harrison".

No generation of fans are gonna buy into that

setanta is the future for british boxing and the generation of potential stars within this country.

Though i do worry if he does sign for them along with calzaghe, haye etc it`ll be turning what needs to be a competitive market into a very one sided one!

I would rather see a fight for free without any build up than pay 20 quid a pop just to watch a few fighter interviews and the odd studio guest talking about the fight. It would cost a fortune if I had to pay for evry decent fight that I wanted to see.

sky wouldnt of been able to sell khan-gomez for ppv even if they promised to have angelina jolie in the studio shooting ping pong balls out of her snatch.

Much more cleverer than that, if they wanna make money off khan fighting a nobody they`ll do the exact same thing they did with hatton/naz and stage it in the us selling it as their big american debuts.

Sky have sold worse PPVs than that.

Neither Hatton or Naz made their headlining Sky PPV debut in the States.

Think setanta have a good cahnce because of the warren deal but agree with soe above posters I do feel (however poor) boxing in the uk does need some decent fights on terrestrial tv to keep its profile up.
