this fight did alot more positive for collazo then it did negetive for hatton, but it did more bad then good for hatton...

unless it made PBF more willing to fight him for less money, but PBF cant keep hatton from working the inside like collazo did

pbf has been runing from hatton and this fight will make him grow a backbone

I knew Collazo was skilled and I been talking of Hatton's flaws that Collazo exposed.

But don't you find it uneasy that those flaws that were there 5 years ago are still there today? Shouldn't those have been taken care of?

yeah, but this guy was a huge WW with a 7inch advantage....including the fact that he was a southpaw

he gave up 3 inches in height and it was 22 in to 20 in in arm length....are you adding it all together?......get off the southpaw track how many fights has Hatton had.....amateur and pro? did he not have left handed sparring partners? i know he's in britain but the could have gotten some decent lefties here in the US.......

yeah, some idiot from another forum gave me the wrong info about the stats....Hatton fought a southpaw 5 years previous to Joe Huttcinson, and struggled to beat Eammon Magge not too long ago who was also a left handed.

And as to star's question, i seriously doubt Hatton will ever change....sure he could polish up abit, more headmovement, hands higher etc etc. But that fighting style is in his grain, he will always have a problem with slick boxers.
But if he beats Floyd Mayweather, i would probably be the happiest man in the world

i STILL think the site would be a HUGE factor. The fight against Collazo, with the ref doing a good job of separating them after long clinches and admonishing the fighters for mauling tactics, put Hatton at a DEFINITE disadvantage. But if Hatton-PBF happened in the UK with the same ref that did the Tszyu fight, PBF might be hard-pressed to keep Hatton off of him.

I lost a LOT of respect for Hatton after this one. Very aggressive not very effective. Amazingly the puncher wants to clinch in the inside when his hands are free. He lost the fight in the ring but was lucky enough for a gift.
