With Taylors technical ability and athleticism how do you figure he will get sparked by a chin leading neanderthal who makes Lacy's defense look like Winky Wright.. Taylor will knock this guy out
    Sounds like a sig bet

Froch will drop his hands and lure Taylor in. Taylor starts to come forward and opens up sensing blood and BAM! an uppercut from the Cobra sends him sprawling to the canvas and his trainer reaching into his kit bag for the smelling salts.

    excellent news !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really am so happy with this fight because you people are going to see carl frochs true potential as a fighter. hes against a fighter who can really push him and will really work a fight out of froch. Taylors chin at times can be suspect and I think froch can hit harder than pavlik. This fight really does have fight of the year written on it. Taylor is strong, I gave him that but froch is going to win this fight and you will all see that.

Ouch, I see this as a bigtime bounce back for Taylor. Where does it take place? I think Taylor's chin is fine, I think he is going to box the hell out of Froch and then stop him. Froch has to learn that your hands don't belong at your hips.

if i remember correctly, taylors hands arent exactly high either. That would be a factor for froch as well as taylor. If Taylor gets catched with a heavy right he simply cant stand there and box all night. He will be invited into a fight which favours froch. Somebody like Taylor can get stuck into the action like he did in the first pavlik fight. He doesnt like pressure that fighters apply, Froch isnt going to just be standing there hes going to always be moving forward against Taylor. I believe that this is going to be a very hard fight for froch but he has the tools to win it. It will be awesome and I really cant wait for this !

I think the Froch that has appeared thus so far has been at around 75% of his true potential. The Tatevosyan fight gave a good sneak look at how he can fight when he is required to produce the goods. The Reid fight was following that cruciate op which he recovered from exceptionally quick.

I think that if Taylor has struggled with smaller guys in the past, not to mention has been KO'd by a puncher, he will be cautious against a bigger opponent that Pavlik who can arguably punch at least as hard as Kelly. Froch may not be quite as tall as Pavlik but his rakish reach will be very comparable and he owns a good jab himself when he chooses to utilise it. Also the ability to take a shot has been proven several times by Froch who has been caught bang on the chin a plenty.

As mentioned it is a far more mouthwatering match-up than Roy Jones and arguably more than Hopkins as Taylor defeated him twice. In this one victory Froch may achieve a better resume than the Welsh Dragon in one single fight. And if he defeats Taylor more remarkably than Pavlik did he will truly have the keys to the treasure chest. It is certainly worth a $50 punt.

Even if Froch were to drop Taylor three times within the opening minute and finish with a devasting KO of the year, that claim would still be a hell of a stretch.

Same here . Seems like weve been waiting years and years for a fight like this . I thought it was never gonna happen for Froch but now win or lose we will see what he is made of .

It'll be interestig to see a poll for this fight . See who people think will win . The bookies I think will go with Jermain but I find myself leaning towards Froch .

    NEWS FLASH
    Calzaghe vacates WBC belt!
The WBC has ordered Carl Froch and Jermain Taylor to fight for the the vacant WBC super middleweight title formerly held by Joe Calzaghe. The clock has started on a private negotiating period is between Froch’s promoter Mick Hennessy and Taylor’s promoter Lou DiBella. If there is no agreement then a purse bid is scheduled for July 25 at the WBC Executive Offices in Mexico City. “I’m delighted to get the title fight and just hope Taylor shows a real fighting heart and goes through with this fight,” said Froch. “I’ve heard he was talking about fighting Jeff Lacy next but that fight is a mismatch in my opinion. I would knock Lacy out in a round or two and it is an easy fight for Taylor, so I just hope Jermain doesn’t squirm out of this situation with me and I think the broadcasters shouldn’t allow him to either. I heard Lou DiBella has said ‘who the f--- is Carl Froch to American television,' but he will know who the f--- the ‘Cobra’ is when his fighter is laying horizontal in front of him. Then I will ask him what does he know about boxing?

Hes up for this Carl. He really is going to step up for this one and you will see him at his best. My boy is going to knock him out.

Lou di Bella sounds dismissive of Froch but he's always been arrogant ( old fat men shouldnt have their ears pierced )

Froch just has to tighten up his defence abit for this fight cuz Taylor is good when he lets his hands go. Taylor doesnt seem as quick at SM and im sure Carl has a great chance. Infact Id make him a slight favourite .

How can Froch tighten up his defense a bit ?? his whole style is based on having his hands at his waist and just using his reflexes, but the sad thing for him he ain't no Roy Jones Jr and that low hands style will get him in big trouble against Taylor.

I think Froch defense has been abit lacks in the past as he hasn't feared the opposition in the past but will know that Taylor is genuine World Class and realise he needs to tighten up the defense.

If this fight happens its a great match-up and I certainly can't see Froch getting Ko'd as Taylor is not a big hitter and Froch seems to possess an excellent chin.

May major concern is whether he will be busy enough if he is he can dominate the fight.
