And did Ricky lose when he was a mere novice huh ? No.
You don't hold fighters to losses that were early in there career when they were novices do you know how many great fighters have lost a few early in there career ?? Alexis Arguello, and hell didn't Dick Tiger lose his first 5 fights ?? but does anyone count those losses when rating him ?? or Arguello for that matter ?? no because thats not how it works Lee. The fact is Mijares has been very impressive since becoming champion. Where as Hatton has only looked good against Tszyu, and a washed up Castillo who looked like a shot fighter in the fight before the Hatton one. What has Hatton done since the Tszyu fight that should make him rated higher than Mijares.
You could argue Castillo was shot. But many people felt he weren't, and he didn't look completely shot in the fight. As I say he has unified the belts, beaten a then current world champ in Urango and destroyed a big name in Castillo. He done it in a fashion that no one has ever done to him. Lazcano was also the 8th best jr welter when he fought Hatton. Not a bad opponent to face coming off a KO loss. Mijares aint fought bigger names than Hatton or scored bigger wins IMO. Anyways ICB I've had this Ricky this and that argument a hundred times with you, you know how I feel about the situation, it's pointless me baging on about it.
