If Taylor is given the option of fighting Froch and instead chooses Lacy, I would be seriously worried about his confidence and belief in himself.

Well the WBC have given both camps until July the 25th to sort a deal out between themselves so the opportunity is certainly there and I cant see Froch arguing about money because he will see this as a massive stepping stone towards some giant paydays if he doesnt get paid massive for this as it would be exposure on US TV for him and if he performs well and the US public like him he has the potential to then be a major player in boxing for a few years. So I think that the ball will be well and truly in Taylors court.

Well , this is why ain't agree to see Calzaghe like one of the top P4P , I know that he want fight Jones Jr. to get a big Purse and then Retire Undefeated , that is if he win Jones jr. , something that i don't think so , but why he didn't stay to make a fight with Froch for demonstrate more that he is the best in that Div.......? He tried to avoid Froch or he just want to be Smart ? , This is my opinion guys , he is good , but to me now seems like somes boxers will going to do the same as Mayweather did ....................................![]()
In the last 18mths calzaghe has held the WBO, WBA, WBC, IBF, IBO 168lb titles by beating the other champions. I see where Calzaghe is coming from with regards to "There is always another guy to beat"
Honestly Froch would be easy money for Joe as he will be for Kessler, Taylor or Bute.
What better way to leave 168lbs after 11yrs of dominance beating a great young hungry 39-0 champion like Kessler?
I do want Calzaghe fight Pavlik though.

problem with froch is that he has blossomed a year or two to late to be fighting calzaghe.
Had he of been a world contender at 26/27 the fight would eventually of happened.
What carl has gotta be wary of now though is getting beat by someone. That`ll take 3-4 years to come back from and at 31 froch just doesnt have the time to be avenging losses.

Lacy is a much bigger name than Froch in the States obviously,so just more marketable.

What the hell has Froch done in the last 2 yrs to 'blossom' into a world contender? he's fought absolutley no one. In terms of the WBC, he's some how got up the rankings and it wasn't his fault the last guy bottled out so I suppose he deserves a shot at the title, but the guy who says Calzaghe is ducking him is smoking crack.
As for Taylor, I'd be seriously dissapointed if he opted to fight Lacy rather than Froch. Froch may be unproven, but Lacy HAS proven that he IS finished over the last 18 months, I seriously doubt he'd make a significant more money fighting Lacy so his reasons so far sound pretty lame, it's up to him and his camp to make up an offer to get Froch over to the US. If his camp can't produce a better offer than Froch's people, it should be prety obvious to Taylor where he actually stands in terms of pulling power at the moment, and he needs to get busy in the ring to turn that around, he doesn't hold all the cards anymore.

word has it, that Taylor will fight Lacy if Lacy wins his tune up in july. Otherwise he will fight frock for the vacant alphabet title.

It feels good to be back home.

How come Lucian Bute is always laying low, you never hear about anyone wanting to fight him, or him calling anyone out? He needs to be in this convo.

BTW Joe didnt vacate the WBO sm title, he may come back if there is nothing good at lt heavy. I am really liking Joe and the moves he is making now he is away from Warren. Maybe it was all Warren's doing as far as the selection of fighters with the puppet strings. Seems like he is really going for it now. Good for Joe, better late than never.
