Yes there are better ideas and such from 100 years ago, but science and diets haven't greatly changed for top flight athlets in a while, records continue to be broken and will do so for 100s of years to come, not because of diets, or training tips, because of evolution baby
You clearly have no idea what you are talking about. The modern scientific view is that humans far from developing better physicality are 'devolving' due to our less stressful, more sedentary lives.
As we no longer have to hunt for our food and cover great distances each day, as we now live in cities full of pollutants and toxins, as we live increasingly sedentary lives our evolutionary scientists believe we are deteriotating physically not improving.
You clearly have no idea of how evolution works. If you go and look at scientific papers and thesis describing how humans will look in the future we are heading in the opposite direction because we no longer need to be so physcially active to live our lifestyles.
When we can get our dinner off a super market shelf and our water from a tap 5 meters from our lounge why on earth would our bodies evolve and adapt to become physically more able?
The eact opposite effect is occuring, and that's ACCORDING TO SCIENCE!!!
