On a border town separated by a river. Our fireworks the 1st, the USA's the 4th. They have less then 1/2 our population, but manage to kick our ass in fireworks display every year without fail.

Our city counsel is too cheap to start a friendly rivalry and making ours better. Not too cheap to give themselves a nice 10-15% raise this year tho.

O well...we still go to the waterfront for both days and get to enjoy both.
