The Hate for Ricky Hatton is unreal!!

collazo is totally capable of knocking out hatton. but the truth of the matter is that collazo had a good night and hatton had a bad night and hatton still won. if a rematch is made hatton can only get better from that performance, i cant see colazo getting much better from his.

Why do people keep saying he had a bad night. He fought like hatton. He didn't throw as many punches because a)he wasn't allowed to hold as much b)he didn't like what was coming back. I rather you say ww are too big for him than to say it was a bad night cause he fought his fight. It just wasn't enough to blow the guy away. As far as a rematch Collazo would be much more relaxed now knowing that hes on the same level as hatton. Once he figured hatton out in the early parts it was looking kinda easy at times. In a rematch he outpoints him from round 1 and might get the ko when hatton starts to get desperate.

Thats understandable but like i've said I've seen quite a few of his fights and he showed the same flaws then that he does now.But now that it was very visible in this fight his fans don't want to admit that.I'll admit hes good if you guys can admit he ain't as good as you all thought.

Of course Hatton has flaws as a fighter, that is why he is so liked, no one, particularly in Britain, likes perfection. We like our heroes flawed and to be considered underdogs and exciting, that is a big reason why a Bruno or Sir 'enry, are all but considered royalty, while Lewis, who was fairly easily better than both, had such a relatively lukewarm following in Britain.

Im sorry but some of you guys especially Americans are unbelievable it wasn't a great performance against a tricky bigger south paw, i didn't see 10% of the bullshit Ricky is getting for exposed Americans like Jeff Lacy, but Ricky Hatton has an off night and it's lets slag him off as much as possible, it is beyond pathetic.

He won and it was alot closer than alot of you guys think, there are at least 5 rounds which i wouldnt argue with any of the two guys getting, lets judge Ricky after he settles in at 147, i mean Floyd looked good in his 147 debut against a 140 lb has been, so lets sit back and see what happens.

I personal think that from the few fights i have seen from Hatten, that befor he starts fighting the top ranked WW, he should take some notes from fighters like Tyson(early days), in that he should develop a defence aginst taller fighters. And not eat so many punches as he is trying to get to the inside.

I think as a larger population you may have more athletes but not necessarily better athletes. In a larger country good athletes are more easily overlooked.
