Everyone gets tired. And you tire a lot faster at 39 than 29. Why do you think Roy spends so much time on the ropes?
Hopkins resorted to acting and cheating when he couldn't handle the pace.
Calzaghe sets a pace that PRIME 20+year-olds can't handle.
The more tired Roy gets the more chance of Calzaghe's punches overwhelming him. So I see Roy quitting on his stool rather than getted KO'd.![]()

Roy quitting on his stoll will never happen...... FACT!
Not to mention Joe is older than Roy (now) was by the time he slowed down for Tarver and Johnson... Joe is getting older and both know that this is time sensitive thats why this fight is in 2 months rather thatn the customary 4-6months.. Joe is getting older too... FACT!!![]()

Yeah they're both old boys.
But Calzaghe has been mixing in the highest class of late whereas Jones has been in exhibition matches.
Joe will have to have drastically "gone" overnight for Roy to have any chance other than a "lucky" KO.. otherwise he will simply overwhelm Roy with his superior output.
I'd rather see Roy QUIT on his stool than Calzaghe punch him silly.![]()
Love Roy but he is a shadow of his former self...The only way Roy Jones wins if he catches Joe C. early or Joe fights at Roy's pace which I can't see happening...What I do see is Calzaghe pressing and exhausting Roy with Joe C winning by late round stoppage...the pace will be too much for Roy, sorry....

One thing I'd like to point out.
Joe is a reactive counter puncher.
He lets the oppoent lead and then he reacts and overwhelms them, but seldom can he be called the aggressor.
Thats why the fight with Hopkins looked so awkward. Hopkins wouldn't lead, forcing Joe to come forward and creating an ugly fight.
