OK let's try to figure this out Kirkland, McCain has changed some views of his to suit the Conservative base.....meanwhile Obama has changed some views of his to suit the moderates and independents.....so both of them have done it but you only choose to show what McCain has changed and therefore you're giving half of the story and therefore it's a biased view and therefore it's a negative campaign ad and not journalism.

They are both trying to win a general election it's the same as Bush vs Gore it's the same as Clinton vs Bush or Clinton vs Dole or Reagan vs Mondale etc etc AMEN. The thing you fail to realize is that this thread is not about McCain and Obama but about Jesse Jackson, if you want to debate the Presidential Election then make a thread about it otherwise stick to the topic at hand.

And I couldn't wait until someone blamed Fox for some "vast right wing conspiracy"...Kirkland Jesse did have a mic on and he was stupid enough to say what he said infront on a camera whether it was on or not was a gamble, he took it and he lost. Now I want him to suffer the kind of fate everyone who has crossed him has suffered. Yes Pat Robertson is a very good comparison he's a nut job as was Falwell.....as is Sharpton as is Farrakahn as are Wright and Fleger they are all a bunch of idiots and if I was running for President I would run on the platform that we load them into a rocket and fire them into the sun!

Try reading the article Lyle. Flip flopping is one or two issues out of ten, and only because he made those filp flops this week. One point in the article is McCain's plan to balance the budget that includes no actual numbers. His entire budget-balancing plan revolves around "winning" in Iraq, yet not one dollar from the Iraq or Afghanistan wars is included in the official budget numbers, so even if McCain cut Iraq/Afghan spending to zero it would have zero effect on the official budget deficit. If Obama had presented a joke like that as his economic plan it would still be being talked about all the way up to the election, another example of liberal cluelessness and another reason why you just can't take electing a Democrat seriously. Yet McCain does it and the media ignores it. And that's just one point out of ten.

Jackson didn't call somebody a nappy-headed ho or anything racist in public so there's no comparison to those kind of situations. He made a private comment about somebody that a microphone picked up and the manufactured-outrage brigade spun into a story.

I think the vast majority of Americans found the remark racist and certainly Imus's former employers did, and he was rightly sacked.

You've cornered the market in ignorant racism Lyle, and neither of those terms could remotely be applied to me.


How about McCain's chief economic advisor calling Americans a bunch of whiners for compalining about a recesion he claimed was a figment of their imagination last week? If the Obama campaign had done that then released an economic plan with no actual numbers we'd be hearing how they were out of touch, elitist, divorced from reality etc. But the McCain campaign gets a free pass from the media every time they do something that would effectively end Obama's campaign.
