I actually thought Thompson responded really well to start the 11th round. He scored with a big left hand and they had probably the best exchange of the fight there. I thought he did well for himself in at least going out like that, much better then plodding to a decision.

He did come out hard in the 11th...but in the 10th it seriously looked like he knew he was beat and just wanted to get his pay cheque and call it a night. I think maybe his corner atleast sparked that little bit of extra effort...then nighty nite.

I didn't enjoy this fight much. I do think Haye will be a more exciting match to watch after this display.

Yes I agree, Barry Hunter did some really good motivational speaking in the corner and was able to rally him after that terrible 10th, you could see he had more pep in his step the second he left the corner. That woke Wlad up too though.

That was an awesome right hand.Thompson literally looked like he was laying down into a deep slumber the way his head was resting on his arm

Fairly good finish from Wladdy but Thompson was out on his feet anyway, and should have been taking a count the other time he slumped to the ground too.

British commentators talking up David Haye's chances but I don't think that one'll be happening anytime soon.
