Thompson fought very well...he did what he did to Krasniqi but it just didn't work with Wlad to that extent.


I rate Thompson very highly after that performance! I think he can beat pretty much anyone else out there....I think Arreola should look at fighting him to test himself.


Wladimir had to dig deep and learned some new stuff it was good that he got those rounds in those might be the best rounds of FIGHTING he has actually done, going to the body using the left hook, and the uppercut.


Wlad will probably fight again in like December or something...I think that time would be good to try and fight Chagaev...also a southpaw but smaller than Thompson but more durable than Ibragamov

This is just silly. I shouldn't be responding but really this is beyond the realm of absurdity, I don't know what it is but whatever it is it isn't right. Haye was a frail chinned cruiserweight, Wlad hasn't been knocked down since Peter.

Chagaev has an achiles tear, complete tear. No way he's geared up to fight before December no matter what the doctors say. If he does it definietly doesn't need to be against Klitschko, someone he can test that out on. Maybe Timor Ibragimov. Just because the world wants another Timor Ibragimov fight.

Povetkin-Klitschko is a good fight. Chances are Povetkin will just get slaughtered on the outside but at this point, I just want Klitschko tested inside. Povetkin also has a way higher workrate then Sultan or Chagaev and I think Wlad will respond to that as he seems to fight mostly at his opponents pace.

I would be inclined to agree with you Lyle, but I think Povetkin or Arreola is exactly what the division needs. The division needs some youth, and they need some energy. They also need people proven at the weight but what the hell.

If a fight with Haye could be made immediately I would love to see that for that very reason but Haye is kidding himself if he thinks he's going to move up, have Wlad come to his back yard and then beat him.

Thompson might have performed better then some expected but he did seem to lose a lot of his fire until that final round. Ibragimov had no fire. Ray Austin had no fire. Sam Peter was the last guy with any gall to him that Wlad has faced and that was a really good fight. Brock at times too and that was a decent fight too.

But they want to see someone try to go in there and at the very least try to KO Wlad and Arreola and Povetkin would do that. So at this point, I would not mind either in there with him especially Povetkin. Sure it can build to a super fight, two gold medalists ect. but the division would just lose to much in the meantime imo.
