I share your frustration but don't think capping off and making a super heavyweight division is the answer.

The problem is all the big guys in boxing are robotic, lumbering and generally unathletic. But you look at the NBA and NFL, there's no reason that a guy as big as Wladimir can't be super athletic like a Lebron James or an Antonio Gates. It's just none of those guys have reached boxing yet.

UFC heavyweight fights really aren't that great either.
