Careful when doing this. We used to do this all the time in the gym and a band snapped and just about broke a couple of my fingers. Within seconds my index finger was HUGE and full of blood. The force shot blood all the way in to the palm of my hand. Luckily, it didn't break anything and I didn't have a bout scheduled so I was able to heal but it sucked and could have been really bad.

Ouch! I'll keep that in mind.

I was thinking about rigging up something with a quick release string that could be pulled rather than having to have anything wrapped around fingers or hands - I'm not an engineer and yet to suss it out though!

Luckily My bro and his fiance are both engineers so I might have to go and pester them

What about the elastic being in a loop in the belts - maybe through two loops in each belt (back of the person in front, front of the person resisting) - one piece which no one actually has to hold.

Maybe with a quick release being on my belt that's around my waist - somehow just attached to a normal rope? The person resisting pulls it and my belt falls off.

So the elastic isn't around my waist or anyone's hands and the rope that is pulled hopefully won't cause injury because as soon as it is engaged it comes off?

Maybe there's a reason i never became an engineer but I'll post it if I ever come up with anything that actually works!

If your hands are by your side they dont, well not to often . Theres another one, where you both have belts and tie the rubber through both belts about 6ft apart, you want to be. The one in front is running while the one behind is speedwalking,
, change every 200 metres, try that for a mile
